Every year clothes manufacturers throw away a huge amount of perfectly good fabrics because of inefficiencies in their production process. For example, they may have ordered too much of a particular type of fabric, or a customer may have reduced their order last minute.

Upcycling and the circular economy aim to reduce this waste by turning those spare fabrics into new clothes that people can enjoy. It not only saves good materials from going to landfill, but every upcycled fabric T-shirt is much more environmentally friendly that regular clothing, saving on carbon emissions, land use and fresh water use compared to regular clothing.
